WELCOME to the second issue of ManagingGreen! If you are first-time reader we should share that our objective is to provide useful information to all you folks involved in the management and operation of buildings: facility managers, their internal teams and all those that provide products and services that contribute to facility management. Our focus is sustainable/green building management.
Each issue includes:
- Several concentrated articles on particular aspects of green building management. These articles will be provided by a pool of green building operation experts, green cleaning experts, honest to goodness facility mangers, and others.
- Nuggets of information on sustainable/green building management in the form of clippings from a wide variety of sources.
This month, you'll learn what distinguishes excellent and award-winning facilities managers from their peers and the many benefits of implementing a Green Cleaning program. We review the latest Green Cleaning Standards and also share a variety of environmental news stories about toxic substance exposure, green new building construction, and state action to combat climate change.
